Stavropol Krai hosts major international events every year. This year it hosted the BRICS and SCO Student Spring, held from June 4 to June 9 under the auspices of UNESCO. Its participants numbered 2,500 people from 23 countries around the world, including Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, India, South Africa, Nepal, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Brazil.

The guests of honor included about 100 prominent cultural figures, politicians, and foreign government officials. The events were broadcast online and viewed by nearly 6.5 million people.

KRIF partner Alexey Vladimirovich Gorodishenin spoke at the BRICS and SCO Student Spring, addressing industrial cooperation as a tool for attracting investment: “The Chinese often say: friendship first, business second. A business agenda takes shape on the foundation of good, friendly relations and trust between people. Stavropol Krai certainly has a great number of business projects that we can offer to Chinese investors. Moreover, the goal is not simply to attract funds from them, but to enter into cooperation in which the exchange involves not only money and goods but also technological resources and scientific exchange.”

Student Spring is a large-scale international event that contributes to strengthening interstate relations and developing cultural and social ties between countries.
