RCML at INNOPROM-2017
The RCML programming language was among the most promising startups presented to Vladimir Putin.
During his visit to the INNOPROM-2017 exhibition, Russian President Vladimir Putin was introduced to a unique development by entrepreneurs from Perm — RCML, a universal programming environment for industrial robots. The technology makes it easier for robots from different manufacturers to interact and is already in demand among multinational technology companies. The project's partners include two of the world's four largest manufacturers of industrial robots: KUKA (Germany) and FANUC (Japan).
The RCML project has been recognized as one of the best startups at GenerationS, the largest accelerator in Russia and Eastern Europe, run by RVC. During its time at GenerationS, the team attracted investment, began cooperating with the accelerator's industrial customer, PJSC "ODK-Saturn," and was included in the "Technet" working group of the National Technology Initiative.
Robot Control Technologies was founded in Perm in 2014 and specializes in creating integrated control solutions for robotics. The company's core development is the RCML programming language, which simplifies the programming of robot actions for cooperative operation. This universal language could bring about a revolution in robotics comparable to that brought about in the development of the internet by the appearance of HTML.
There are currently more than a thousand programming languages in existence, and almost every robot manufacturer uses its own language, which makes devices incompatible and unable to interact with one another.
