Mikhail Derevyanko, a partner at KRIF, graduated from the Presidential Program for Training Management Personnel in 2017. In November 2018, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "MIREA – Russian Technological University" (RTU MIREA) organized an internship in Shanghai for the best graduates of the Presidential Program. The internship was held in the field of “Power Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.”

As part of the event, working meetings were held with the General Director in China of the EKF group of companies, one of the leading distributors of low-voltage electrical equipment in Russia, as well as with major companies in the power engineering and mechanical engineering sector, such as Tofflon, Shanghai Leibosi Electric Co., Ltd., Shanghai Pure Clean System Technology Co., Ltd., and other members of the business community. In total, delegation members visited more than 15 companies and organizations. Meetings with real businesses and business consultants were highly productive. Most of the Russian entrepreneurs were interested in the possibility of opening a business in the People's Republic of China, in finding potential partners and distributors, and in the practical experience of companies already operating there.

In addition to the general meetings, individual meetings were held with potential partners of KRIF, including visits to relevant Chinese enterprises of interest to the Fund. The event was designed to include not only visits to Chinese enterprises but also work on the participants' individual project assignments. All projects were discussed, and each participant received expert consultations on completing their project assignments.

The internship participants in Shanghai visited the exhibition “Thermal Insulation Materials, Waterproofing Materials, and Energy-Saving Technologies,” which helped identify potential partners.

The supplementary professional development program for Russian specialists in China, held in Shanghai in the field of “Power Engineering and Mechanical Engineering,” enabled its participants to study the target market of the People's Republic of China, hold negotiations with potential partners, establish business contacts, and discuss opportunities for further cooperation between Russian and Chinese businesses.
