Russian delegation visits Chinese nuclear power facilities
On November 23, 2018, a delegation of Russian entrepreneurs visited CGN, China's largest nuclear power corporation.
A Russian delegation that included Mikhail Derevyanko, a partner of KRIF, visited China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), the largest nuclear power corporation in China, during an internship in Shanghai. CGN began operations in 1994. Since its founding, the company has become the largest nuclear power enterprise in China and the largest nuclear power company in the world. It employs more than 39,000 people worldwide. CGN's strategy is aimed at developing clean energy sources such as nuclear power, nuclear fuel, wind energy, and solar energy. The company's policy is based on the rational use of natural energy, optimizing the energy structure, and achieving economic and social development in the country.
By 2020, CGN plans to remain the number one nuclear power company in China and to enter the top three on the global market.
Mr. Song spoke in detail about the introduction of new technologies in nuclear power and familiarized the Russian businessmen with the design, construction, and operation of nuclear power plants, as well as work with local residents in the areas where plants are located. Mikhail Derevyanko discussed with the company's top managers the possibility of applying the Russian RCML technology at CGN's production facilities. The Chinese businessmen spoke of their commitment to the principles of professional and independent development, improving their organizational and management systems, and described methods for building their core competencies and management capacity. For the Russian entrepreneurs, this was a valuable experience.
