From December 10 to 21, 2018, the first Uzbek-Russian Youth Business Incubator, organized by the Youth Union of Uzbekistan and the Russian Union of Youth, was held in the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Tashkent. Participants in the business incubator were young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 from Russia and Uzbekistan.

The main objectives of the Uzbek-Russian Youth Business Incubator are: introducing new technologies into the economic, information, and social processes of Russia and Uzbekistan, promoting the creation of successful businesses based on international cooperation, identifying promising entrepreneurial projects, and supporting their promotion and commercialization in the markets of the two countries.

Over ten days, an extensive educational program was held for the Business Incubator's residents, covering the specifics of doing business in Uzbekistan, as well as specific meetings with potential partners and investors. Free time was devoted to networking among residents and a cultural and leisure program.

As a reminder, residents from Russia are taking part in the return visit of the second stage of RUMBI and are developing joint projects with residents of Uzbekistan. The first stage of the project took place in Belgorod, at the Belgorod State National Research University, from October 2 to 14.

The International Youth Business Incubator is a unique acceleration program of the Russian Union of Youth, designed to bring Russian projects to foreign markets and attract foreign investment into the Russian economy. The Business Incubator platform is intended to create conditions for the development of youth entrepreneurship and to encourage young people's interest in developing international cooperation.

"Today the Russian-Uzbek Youth Business Incubator opens. A delegation of 10 people is ready for productive work. Young entrepreneurs and scholars from the Russian Federation have arrived with entrepreneurial initiatives in robotics, education, science, wholesale trade, light industry, and other fields. The Uzbek side is always distinguished by its special hospitality and attitude toward representatives of our country. The work of the organizer, the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, a reliable partner of the Russian Union of Youth, will ensure an excellent atmosphere of friendship and cooperation. I am therefore confident that the delegation's visit will be productive and mutually beneficial," said Alexey Gorodishenin, head of the delegation and partner of KRIF.

On December 20, a closing ceremony was held for the Uzbek portion of the Uzbek-Russian Youth Business Incubator. In addition to the project's participants and organizers, it was attended by: Inoyatkhodjaev Jamshid Shukhratullaevich, First Vice-Rector for Finance and Economics and Head of the Technopark at Turin University; Yulbarskhon Nabievich Mansurov, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan; representatives of the Department for the Development of Innovative and Youth Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and a number of federal media outlets.
